Beyoncé surprised her followers with an infomercial about using her hair care products for her husband Jay-Z‘s hair journey. The 44-year-old pop singer shared the 7-minute video blog (vlog) on Father’s Day, explaining how Jay-Z transitioned from wicks dreadlocks to an afro in honor of his late father.
“Everyone wants to know the details of Jay’s hair transformation,” Bey said in her familiar raspy voice. She went on to say Jay-Z told her that he was planning to comb out his locs for his appearance at the annual Roots Picnic festival in Philadelphia.

“He wanted to do this in honor of his father,” she said before adding that Jay’s father was a fan of the Philadelphia 76ers. “His dad used to rock a ‘fro” like the 76ers superstar Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
Bey said Jay’s hair took 7 days to detangle because it had been “locking for over eight years.” The video showed her and a Houston loctician using a fine tooth comb to detangle his hair.

Only one person out of thousands of comments pointed out that the rapper (who turns 57 in December) doesn’t have a single grey hair on his head.
Not one single grey hair at 60 ?

Others claimed Beyoncé and Jay dropped the video in response to Nicki Minaj confirming he wears lacefront wigs.
Beyoncé said hair sheds at a rate of 50-150 strands a day, which is true. But she didn’t explain how a 56-year-old man doesn’t have any grey hair. The entire commercial – with its slick production and editing – left many questions unanswered.
Anyone can wash and detangle a lacefront wig made of natural hair. We’ve already seen Beyoncé do it.
Like Nicki say one thing regarding Jay’s hair and Jay Z was all over the stage acting a fool and now Beyoncé dropping a whole doc on his supposed “real hair” ???I love Nicki Minaj

She is cashing in big time trying to convince the world only her product could have done that

I was all into it until i realized i was being advertised to. Great message and story but would’ve been more powerful without a product placement.

Should’ve known the whole thing was one big ad for their products

Most people are just watching but don't understand that it is a marketing video for the hair products. It is an advert, not a documentary??
